Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adolfo Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, One One!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

One scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Cole wants to control but One is keeping busy.
Cole is looking to improve his position.

One is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cole defends it well.
Well, if One is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cole gets full guard.

One preventing the sweep.
One pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cole is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
One trying to control the position from guard on top but Cole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
One must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
One scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
One engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

One gets to his feet - Cole follows without any prompting.
One One seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Cole blocks a head kick by One.
One swats away the attempt to clinch by Cole.
Cole doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

One bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
One content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
One tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Cole is looking to reverse the position.

One is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cole knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Cole is being controlled here.
Cole is trying to get back to his feet.

Cole seems a little lost for a moment, as One dominates the positioning.
One advances to full mount.
Cole is looking to get to half guard.

One goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cole turns into him and now he's in One's guard.
One is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

One throws a half hearted mid kick.
One lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Adolfo Cole has been cut.

One drives through and clinches with Cole against the cage.
One on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Cole successfully pulls guard.
One is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cole is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
One trying to control the position.
One wants to sweep here but Cole controlling him for the moment.

Cole stops One from standing up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if One can do anything to dispel that myth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cole throwing strikes from guard but One blocks nicely.

One scrambles and gets back to his feet.
One throws a right hand that Cole ducks under and follows up with a left that Cole also avoids with ease.

One drives through with a takedown into Cole's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Cole is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
One being controlled here momentarily.
Cole looking for a sweep. Not yet Cole, not yet.
One is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

One stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Cole tries to sprawl but One drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Cole is looking to improve his position.

One is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
One throws a strike but Cole avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
One pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cole is keeping the position for now.
One has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

One controlling from the top position.
One works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Cole actively working from the bottom here.
One slows the pace down in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

One is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

One One showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Adolfo Cole's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Cole enables One to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cole manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Cole is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
One is stalling in the full guard.

One decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Cole could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

One changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cole looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Cole throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

One shoots in and gets a takedown into Cole's guard.
One controls from within his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
One wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
One is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Cole keeping moving, preventing One from controlling successfully.
One throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
One wants to pass the guard but Cole is keeping the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
One throws a series of punches but Cole moves out of range.
Cole throws an uppercut from half a mile away. One sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Cole tries to keep at a distance but One has taken the fight into the clinch.

One's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

One changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cole looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Cole sneaks out the side door and pushes One away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Cole throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Cole tries to keep at a distance but One has taken the fight into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cole slowing the pace effectively.
Cole has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Cole tries to pull guard but One won't allow it.

One's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

One looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Cole!
You can see the frustration on Cole's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

One is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cole knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to One One.
Well One has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
