Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Dog (ranked 1105 p4p, 49 weight class) and Aapeli Vipunen (ranked 655 p4p, 34 weight class). Dog comes to the cage accompanied by The 2 Bears - Bear Hug. Vipunen has chosen Solonen ft. Kosola - LÄSKI! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aapeli Vipunen!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vipunen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Vipunen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Vipunen lands with a shot to the body.
A head kick misses from Vipunen.
Dog appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Big Dog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dog moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Vipunen misses with an uppercut. Dog saw that one coming.
Dog has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Beta Fail in the buildup to the fight.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Vipunen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dog defends it easily.

Dog slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vipunen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dog can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vipunen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dog gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Vipunen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That was a close round but I would say that Big Dog will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dog lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vipunen goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

and Dog counters with a three punch combo that has Vipunen backing up. Vipunen nods at Dog to acknowledge the strikes.

Dog feints and then cracks Vipunen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vipunen down.

Vipunen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dog moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

It seemed like Vipunen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Dog throws a big counter combination but Vipunen scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Some bone on bone action there as Vipunen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Dog lands a left and a right that send Vipunen crashing to the mat, dazed. Dog thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Vipunen is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dog bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Vipunen is still on wobbly legs! Can Dog finish him?
Vipunen is breathing heavily.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Dog engages and cracks Vipunen with a massive lead left hook - Vipunen tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Dog is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Big Dog!
After winning the bout, Big Dog thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
