The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bird has managed to clinch.

Bird breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bird misses the shot to the body.
A combination from Temir does no damage.
Temir checks a leg kick nicely.
We've been informed that Temir has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Bird dodges the punch combination from Temir.
Temir stalks Bird and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bird's face. Bird staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Theron Bird has been cut.
Bird moves out of range of the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Temir is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bird.
Bird is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Temir just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Bird has gone limp and this one is over!
