Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Sousa Sousa (ranked 4446 p4p, 0 weight class) and Porthos Knox (ranked 5646 p4p, 0 weight class). Sousa comes to the cage accompanied by Girls just wanna have fun. Knox has chosen One Step Closer | Linkin Park as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Sousa Sousa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Porthos Knox!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Some wild striking there from Knox.
Knox connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sousa momentarily.
Donk. Knox catches Sousa right on the button with a cross.
Sousa dives in and grabs Knox's left leg, looking for a takedown. Knox pushes down on Sousa's head and hops out.
Sousa shoots in but no luck this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Knox counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sousa thinking.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Sousa Sousa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sousa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Knox is fending him off so far but Sousa persists. Nope, Knox circles away and we're back to standing.
Knox stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Knox wants it to stay on the feet.
A countering left hand to the body from Knox misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Knox scores with a punch to the head.
Knox lands a jab.
Knox swings for the body but Sousa moves out of range.
Sousa changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
No luck for Sousa with that takedown attempt.
Sousa misses with a takedown
and Knox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sousa is rocked!
Knox pounces like a tiger and cracks Sousa with a vicious hook! Sousa is down but not out! Knox follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Porthos Knox!
