Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cristopher Carpenter (ranked 24802 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cattag Dogmock (ranked 5151 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Cristopher Carpenter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cristopher Carpenter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cattag Dogmock!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dogmock is looking to clinch but Carpenter is avoiding it.
It looked like Carpenter wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Carpenter darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Dogmock fails in his attempt to clinch.

Dogmock gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dogmock has Carpenter pressed against the cage, preventing Carpenter from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Dogmock keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carpenter's efforts to push away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dogmock tries to work over Carpenter's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dogmock doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Carpenter breaks the clinch.
Carpenter throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Carpenter tries a head kick but it misses.
Dogmock now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Dogmock moves in looking to clinch but Carpenter pushes him off.
Carpenter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dogmock momentarily.
Dogmock fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carpenter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dogmock counters with a right hand to the body.
A head kick misses from Carpenter.
Dogmock blocks a head kick by Carpenter.
Carpenter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carpenter dives in and grabs Dogmock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dogmock pushes down on Carpenter's head and hops out.
Carpenter throws a lazy head kick
and Dogmock counters with a two punch combo.
Carpenter throws a nice looking combination but Dogmock bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And Dogmock tries to counter it with a takedown but Carpenter pushes his down on his head and steps out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Carpenter gets tackled into the cage by Dogmock. Dogmock maintains the clinch.
Carpenter tries to break free but Dogmock pushes him back against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Dogmock as the two fighters clinch.
Carpenter really is a fat lump.
Carpenter missing with knees to the body.
Carpenter is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dogmock to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cristopher Carpenter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dogmock tries to throw a body punch but Carpenter avoids it by throwing Dogmock back against the cage.

Dogmock tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Dogmock keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carpenter's efforts to push away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Carpenter prevents the takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Cristopher Carpenter will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Dogmock counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Dogmock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dogmock instigates a clinch.

Dogmock's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dogmock blocks a head kick by Carpenter.
Dogmock let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Carpenter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dogmock tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Carpenter throws a sloppy head kick and Dogmock moves out of range easily.
Dogmock let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Dogmock tries to keep at a distance but Carpenter has taken the fight into the clinch.
Carpenter is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Dogmock lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Carpenter backwards.

Dogmock can't find room to land a body shot as Carpenter controls the action.

Dogmock tightens his grip and picks Carpenter up, before dumping him to the ground. Carpenter manages to land in guard.
Dogmock is standing up over Carpenter. Carpenter looks to escape but Dogmock dives into side control.
Carpenter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dogmock content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Carpenter is looking to regain half guard here but Dogmock keeps moving and retains side control.
Carpenter wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Dogmock decides to stand back up.
Carpenter misses with a head kick.
Carpenter throws a sloppy head kick and Dogmock moves out of range easily.
Dogmock darts in trying to clinch
and Carpenter counters with a three punch combo that has Dogmock backing up. Dogmock nods at Carpenter to acknowledge the strikes.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Carpenter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dogmock moves away.
Dogmock appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cristopher Carpenter will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Dogmock tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Carpenter's elbow.
Dogmock goes for a takedown in the clinch but Carpenter prevents it.

The referee is keeping an eye on Dogmock - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Dogmock manages to break the clinch.
Cristopher Carpenter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dogmock fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carpenter, pushing him back against the cage.
Dogmock's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dogmock scores a nice knee to the body.
Dogmock wants a takedown but no success here.
Carpenter is trying to break free.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Dogmock goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Dogmock misses with a body punch.
Dogmock misses with a hook to the ribs.

Carpenter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Carpenter throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dogmock appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Carpenter scores with a punch to the head.

Carpenter tries to bum rush Dogmock with a series of wild strikes but Dogmock uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
As Carpenter backs off Dogmock throws a huge counter combo but Carpenter manages to avoid it all.
Carpenter swats away the attempt to clinch by Dogmock.
Carpenter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dogmock is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Cattag Dogmock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Cristopher Carpenter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Dogmock breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cattag Dogmock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Carpenter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
