The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Norman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Blaze to the mat! Blaze manages to get full guard.
Norman sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Blaze wants to stand up but Norman is controlling him.
Blaze really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Norman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Norman pushes down on Blaze's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Blaze is looking for a sweep. Norman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Blaze is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Blaze avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Norman.
Norman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Norman controlling the action here.
Norman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Blaze tries to roll over but Norman keeps him under control.
Norman winds up and cracks Blaze with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Norman passes to full mount!

Norman has hold of Blaze's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Blaze manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Norman looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Blaze is wriggling around trying to escape.

Norman wants to control the pace but Blaze is squirming around nicely.

Norman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Blaze is looking to escape.
Norman postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Blaze looks a forlorn figure.

Blaze is desperately trying to improve his position but Norman has a good base and remains in mount.
Blaze looks gassed!
Norman cracks Blaze with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Norman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Blaze can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Norman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blaze tries to lock up and control but Norman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

and Norman counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Norman is controlling the pace.
Norman frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Blaze is breathing heavily.

Norman throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Blaze has his hands clasped together but Norman breaks the hold and Blaze is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Norman!
