The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws a right hand that Davies ducks under and follows up with a left that Davies also avoids with ease.
James scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Davies doesn't seem bothered though.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Davies has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

James clinches.
James stalling in the clinch but Davies improves position.
We've been hearing reports that James has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
