Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gunter Schultz (ranked 2439 p4p, 118 weight class) and Elroy Clarks (ranked 3955 p4p, 167 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schultz shoots in for a takedown but Clarks shows good takedown defense.
A nice side step and Clarks releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Schultz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Clarks is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Schultz, into his guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Clarks working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Clarks is looking to work his way around to Schultz's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
