The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valiant looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Valiant is fighting to break Vaughn's control of his arms but Vaughn is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Valiant pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vaughn is keeping the position for now.
Valiant wanted to stand there but Vaughn had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vaughn pulls Valiant in close to prevent any damage.
Valiant drops back looking for a leg! Vaughn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vaughn manages to kick Valiant off! Valiant jumps back into Vaughn's guard.
Vaughn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Vaughn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Valiant's waist but Valiant gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vaughn off to one side.

Vaughn kicks Valiant off and gets back to his feet.
Valiant tries to clinch up.
Vaughn tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Valiant manages to circle out of the way.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Vaughn gets caught napping as Valiant dives in and scores a takedown. Vaughn manages to retain guard.

Valiant shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vaughn is trying to defend but Valiant finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Vaughn wants to improve his position but Valiant is controlling well.
Vaughn is looking to control Valiant's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vaughn avoid being mounted?

and Vaughn counters with a three punch combo that has Valiant backing up. Valiant nods at Vaughn to acknowledge the strikes.
Valiant drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Valiant lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Vaughn down.
Vaughn gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Vaughn is trying is best to control the position here.
Valiant wants to pass the guard but Vaughn is defending well.
Vaughn is looking for a sweep. Valiant is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Vaughn is staying active underneath Valiant, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Valiant is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Vaughn is hurt! He's hurt bad - Valiant fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Vaughn from any more punishment! Congratulations to Valiant! Great finish!
