The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phouthong tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dux defends well and Phouthong ends up having to push Dux into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Dux throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Phouthong wants to counter with a clinch but Dux pushes him away.

That was a close round but I would say that Jean Pierre Dux will probably get the nod.
