The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza throws a head kick but Ragozin moves out of range.
Souza shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ragozin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Souza!
Souza on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Ragozin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Souza throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Souza manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Souza drops back looking for a leg! Ragozin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ragozin manages to kick Souza off! Souza jumps back into Ragozin's guard.

Ragozin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Souza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Souza keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ragozin's head.
Souza passes Ragozin's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Souza thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ragozin's head.
Souza not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Souza looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Ragozin tries to roll over but Souza keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ragozin is breathing heavily.
Ragozin is trying to maintain the position but Souza is very close to passing his half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Souza is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ragozin shoots for a double leg takedown but Souza sprawls well. He's pushed Ragozin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Souza tries to clinch up but Ragozin circles away and keeps his distance.

Souza drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Souza seems to have locked his on tight now - Ragozin screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Souza, as he picks up the win!
