Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Liangchan Xiaodong!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xiaodong tries a head kick but it misses.
McDougall with a poor takedown

and Xiaodong counters by moving into the clinch.
McDougall tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Xiaodong just stands there and leans against the cage.
McDougall tries to throw a body punch but Xiaodong avoids it by throwing McDougall back against the cage.
McDougall wants a takedown but no success here.

Xiaodong jumps guard but McDougall stands there with Xiaodong around his waist. Xiaodong gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Xiaodong takes the fight into the clinch.
McDougall is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Xiaodong stands up and waves to McDougall to follow him.
Xiaodong shoots in looking for a takedown but McDougall manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Xiaodong's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Xiaodong fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McDougall, pushing him back against the cage.

Xiaodong works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Xiaodong is in close to McDougall's body, working some short punches and elbows.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Xiaodong decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McDougall, up you get!

Xiaodong is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

McDougall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

McDougall has a takedown stuffed.
Xiaodong goes for a double leg but McDougall avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McDougall continues to drive forward.
Xiaodong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McDougall paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McDougall lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

McDougall rushes Xiaodong and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Xiaodong jumps guard and drags McDougall to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Xiaodong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McDougall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McDougall stands up and we're back to a striking position.
McDougall fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
McDougall shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Xiaodong but Xiaodong pushes him off and we're back to square one.
McDougall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Xiaodong steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Xiaodong closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

McDougall drags the fight down to the ground.

That's time! McDougall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

McDougall shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Xiaodong as he avoids it easily.

McDougall throws a sloppy head kick and Xiaodong moves out of range easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McDougall is defended easily by Xiaodong.

Xiaodong shoots in looking for a takedown. McDougall tries to sprawl out of it but Xiaodong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McDougall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Xiaodong will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

McDougall throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Xiaodong was covering up waiting for the punch and McDougall finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Xiaodong wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and McDougall manages to pass to side control.

McDougall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Xiaodong.

Well Xiaodong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
