Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Rotoras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atsushi Matsunaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rotoras's entrance music is Remember the Name!. A fine choice. Matsunaga has chosen Masaaki Endoh - Ai wo Torimodose!! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Atsushi Matsunaga has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rotoras throws out a leg kick but Matsunaga moves out of range and Rotoras only half commits.
Matsunaga blocks a low kick nicely.
Matsunaga will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

It looks like Ricardo Rotoras has been cut.
Matsunaga tries to close the distance and clinch but Rotoras swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rotoras darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Rotoras is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Matsunaga is just riding it out for now. Rotoras eventually gives up the hold.

Rotoras goes for an armbar but Matsunaga turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Matsunaga.
Rotoras bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Matsunaga's guard.

Rotoras wants to pass the guard but Matsunaga is keeping the position.

Matsunaga doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Rotoras counters with a takedown into side control.

Rotoras has hold of Matsunaga's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Matsunaga tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rotoras cranks the arm and Matsunaga screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Matsunaga, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
