Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Westwood throws a head kick that Marquez semi-blocks.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marquez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Marquez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Marquez throws a push kick but Westwood slaps the foot to one side.
Marquez scores with a punch to the head.
Westwood tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marquez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

As Westwood looks to move away, Marquez throws a big counter combo but Westwood just gets out of the way.

Marquez shoots in looking for a takedown but Westwood manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marquez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Westwood tries to clinch but Marquez moves out of range.
Westwood scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Westwood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Marquez.
Marquez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Westwood avoids it really well and circles away.
Marquez is breathing heavily.
Marquez slaps away a takedown attempt from Westwood, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Westwood shoots in looking for a takedown. Marquez tries to sprawl out of it but Westwood keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marquez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Westwood closes the distance and clinches up with Marquez, looking for a takedown. Westwood pushes Marquez against the cage but Marquez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Westwood throws a head kick that misses.
Marquez attempts a counter takedown but Westwood avoids it well and moves away.

Marquez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Westwood takes a jab right on the kisser.
Westwood goes for a double leg but Marquez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Marquez continues to drive forward.

Marquez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Westwood is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Marquez has latched onto it... Big trouble! Marquez pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Westwood is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Marquez!
