The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gorman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcknight looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Mcknight is controlling Gorman's trapped leg to prevent Gorman from advancing to side control.
Gorman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Gorman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Gorman slips a nice elbow through Mcknight's hands, connecting with Mcknight's forehead.
Mcknight tries to get to full guard but Gorman has control of the leg.
Mcknight is trying to maintain the position but Gorman is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gorman landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Mcknight is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gorman is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Mcknight is hurt! He's hurt bad - Gorman fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Mcknight from any more punishment! Congratulations to Gorman! Great finish!
