Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gena Lap (ranked 5003 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axl Rose (ranked 5642 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lap tries to clinch but Rose moves away

and Rose counters with a takedown into side control.
Lap wants to get back to his feet but Rose drags him back down.
Lap is trying to control Rose's posture but Rose avoids it.
Rose controls the position from side control.
Lap struggling a bit here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lap is letting Rose control him for a moment.
Lap manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Rose is taking a breather. Lap says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lap tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Rose manages to move to mount!
Lap is looking to improve his position but Rose isn't that keen on the idea.
Lap looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Lap is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Rose.

Rose working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Lap can't escape the position.
Rose is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Well, with Rose on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Lap is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Rose has one arm under Lap 's neck. Lap is controlling the other arm well. He's just looking to survive right now. Rose manages to get his arm free though and Lap is in a world of trouble! Rose sinks in the hooks and squeezes! Lap turns purple and then goes limp. The referee steps in to end the bout!
