Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adolfo Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Josh Kovaschic!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Kovaschic with a nice cross.


It looks like Adolfo Cole has been cut.
A left lands for Kovaschic.
Kovaschic lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Cole keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kovaschic blocks a head kick by Cole.
Some wild striking there from Kovaschic.
Cole tries to move into range but Kovaschic moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Josh Kovaschic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kovaschic scores with a nice strike.
Kovaschic thuds a left hand into Cole's body.

Kovaschic is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cole's half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Still in half guard, Kovaschic seems content to control.
Kovaschic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cole wants to improve his position but Kovaschic is controlling well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kovaschic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kovaschic trying to control the position from guard on top but Cole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cole avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Cole keeping full guard, as Kovaschic tries to pass.
Cole might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kovaschic working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Kovaschic is looking to work some ground and pound but Cole has wrist control.

Cole escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kovaschic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kovaschic is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Kovaschic throws a right hand that Cole ducks under and follows up with a left that Cole also avoids with ease.
Kovaschic scores with a sloppy right hand. Cole should have avoided that one.
Cole throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kovaschic lands a jab to the nose.
Cole really is a fat lump.
Kovaschic punishes Cole's body with a nice straight punch.
Kovaschic lands a body shot.
Kovaschic lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kovaschic uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Kovaschic throws a series of strikes that have Cole backpedaling.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kovaschic closes the distance and lands a one-two.


Cole is rocked!
Kovaschic has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
BOOM! Kovaschic lands a beautiful left hook that drops Cole. Cole tries to recover but Kovaschic is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Cole lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josh Kovaschic!
