And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 18 - 2, fighting out of London, Andy Bangsit!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Cotto.
Cotto tries a head kick but it misses.
Bangsit closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cotto circles away.
Cotto misses with a wild body shot.

and Bangsit counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bangsit.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bangsit accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bangsit sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cotto's guard.
Bangsit is pressing down on Cotto's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cotto is holding on for now.

Bangsit is looking for a kimura but Cotto is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bangsit to get the leverage.

Bangsit is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bangsit trying to pass the guard but Cotto defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bangsit is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Bangsit slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Bangsit is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cotto knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Bangsit working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Bangsit looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Bangsit has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Cotto is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Bangsit yanks on the arm and Cotto is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Bangsit.
