Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Sorensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zach Sorensen will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zach Sorensen!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorensen misses with the combination.
Pain could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sorensen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sorensen.

Pain shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pain was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Pain lands with some strikes.
Pain connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Sorensen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Pain controlling the position easily from mount.
Sorensen is desperately trying to improve his position but Pain has a good base and remains in mount.

Pain looking to finish Sorensen with some ground and pound. This is bad for Sorensen!

Pain is going olschool here, as he tries to force Sorensen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sorensen shrugs it off.

Sorensen reaches up to try and control the position but Pain seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Sorensen rolls and tries to escape and now Pain has his back!

Sorensen tries to roll but Pain sticks to his back.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Pain looking to break Sorensen's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Sorensen remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Pain will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
I really don't envy Sorensen right now.

Pain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sorensen's guard.
Pain passes into half guard.
Sorensen trying to get back to full guard but Pain takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Sorensen tries to reverse the position but Pain maintains control.
Sorensen tries to hold on but Pain postures up.
Pain landing strikes, looking to finish!

Pain drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Pain slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Sorensen.

Pain tries to clinch there but Sorensen circles away.
Sorensen doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Pain counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Sorensen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Pain sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Pain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sorensen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sorensen looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Pain puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Sorensen tries to get to full guard but Pain has control of the leg.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pain is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Sorensen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pain passes to full mount!
Sorensen is trying to escape the mount.
Pain landing punches.
Pain controlling the position easily from mount.

Pain working for a guillotine from mount but Sorensen is in no mood to give up.

Sorensen wants to control but Pain is having none of it.
Pain unloads with some shots from mount but Sorensen bucks and avoids them well.
Sorensen is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Sorensen manages to reverse the position and now he's in Pain's guard. Nice work there by Sorensen.

Sorensen tries to escape but Pain has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Sorensen is really stuck here.

Sorensen is trying to defend against the choke here but Pain has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Pain Tightens the hold and Sorensen taps out furiously! Pain displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
