Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Lawrence (ranked 466 p4p, 65 weight class) and Tracy Minaj (ranked 1062 p4p, 150 weight class). Lawrence's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sweep the Leg. Tracy Minaj told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawrence fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Minaj checks it well.
Minaj throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Minaj throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lawrence scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Minaj fails with the takedown
and Lawrence cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Minaj dives in for a single leg takedown but Lawrence sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lawrence scores with a hook.
Lawrence has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Temp Spar Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Nice defenses there by Lawrence.
Lawrence looks to clinch
and Minaj counters with a nice uppercut.
Minaj throws a body punch but Lawrence moves out of range.
Lawrence lands with a nice combination. Minaj backs away looking to recover.
Lawrence throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lawrence. That's going to slow Minaj down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lawrence throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Minaj throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lawrence throws a leg kick but Minaj sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A shot to the liver by Lawrence. Beautiful body shot.
Minaj fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Johnny Lawrence has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tracy Minaj.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Minaj misses with a body shot.
A cross from Lawrence lands.
Minaj shoots in but no luck this time.
Minaj tries for a takedown but Lawrence circles away easily
enabling Lawrence to counter with a crisp jab.
Decent striking displayed by Lawrence there.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Minaj.
Lawrence swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
A lazy left from Lawrence finds it's target.
Minaj is rocked!
Minaj throws a predictable looking body shot
and Lawrence counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Minaj badly! Lawrence follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Minaj out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Lawrence finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Johnny Lawrence!
