Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maximus McDougall!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saroth tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Saroth keeps the fight on the outside.
McDougall walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Saroth checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
McDougall tries a head kick but it misses.
McDougall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McDougall drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Saroth is looking to stand back up but McDougall counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Saroth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McDougall is stalling here. Saroth is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! McDougall seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Saroth has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Saroth misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
McDougall tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Saroth wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

McDougall wants to control but Saroth postures up.

Saroth is looking to take a break and control but McDougall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saroth throws a strike aimed at the side of McDougall's head but McDougall avoids it well.

McDougall is holding Saroth down, trying to stall.
McDougall parries the strikes from Saroth easily there. Saroth is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable McDougall to escape.
McDougall is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Saroth is controlling him well.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Saroth shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McDougall as he avoids it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Saroth is defended easily by McDougall.
McDougall steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Saroth leaves McDougall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Saroth darts in looking for a takedown but McDougall gets double underhooks and turns Saroth into the cage.
And McDougall tries to counter it with a takedown but Saroth pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khon Saroth. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McDougall drives through with a takedown into guard.
Saroth is breathing heavily.

Oh Saroth is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McDougall has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! McDougall throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Saroth is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
