Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bubble McPower (ranked 4940 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santos Agua (ranked 5330 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPower lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Agua backs up against the cage.
McPower avoids the head kick by Agua.

Agua scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Agua is nestled in close to McPower, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Agua connects with a nice short shot to McPower's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McPower could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Agua has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Agua shoots in looking for a takedown. McPower tries to sprawl out of it but Agua keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McPower manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

McPower leaves Agua with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Agua decides to return to a standing position.
McPower tries to clinch there but Agua circles away.
Agua fails with a takedown attempt.

and McPower counters with a left and a right that stings Agua.
McPower's jab looks to have found its range, popping Agua under the eye.

Bubble McPower has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santos Agua.
Agua shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McPower sprawls well. McPower wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Agua gets slowly back to his feet.

McPower lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McPower.
McPower tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Agua manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McPower throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Agua manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McPower on his heels. He'll look to pass McPower's guard now, I'm sure.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Agua is continuing to stall.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
McPower tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Agua defends well and McPower ends up having to push Agua into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Agua has hold of McPower's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and McPower manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Agua is working for a rear naked choke. McPower is not defending it well and Agua has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! McPower refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of McPower's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
