Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Harris (ranked 23701 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martino Marco (ranked 4932 p4p, 495 weight class). Martino Marco has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Marcus Harris's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Martino Marco!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marco tries to clinch but Harris is having none of it.
Marco tries a low kick but Harris avoids it.
As Marco tries to get set, Harris tries to push him back and clinch up but Marco manages to avoid the attempt.
Harris definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Marco shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Marco was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Harris is trying to strike from the bottom but Marco has passed into full mount.
Marco lands a big elbow.
Marco tries to control but Harris wriggling away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marco jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Harris is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Harris and Marco has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Harris pushes Marco away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Marco gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marco is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Marco cracks Harris with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Marco controlling from side mount.
Marco lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Marco staying calm.
Marco working the head and body with strikes.

Marco working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Marco wants to control but Harris is keeping him busy.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Marco wants to stand but Harris has his arm trapped.
Marco trying to control the position but Harris is working away.
Harris is pushing Marco's head away, looking to escape. Marco manages to hold on to the position though.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Harris bucks up and tries to throw Marco off but instead Marco has got his back!
Harris trying to control but not successfully.
Marco doesn't have the hooks in and Harris manages to turn into his guard.
Marco is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Marco thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Harris stuffs the takedown attempt from Marco. Marco gets slowly back to his feet.

Harris has closed the distance and engaged Marco in a clinch.
Harris wants to take the fight to the mat but Marco manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Harris drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Marco manages to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harris got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Harris has managed to get both his arms back between Marco's legs - danger averted.
Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Marco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Harris wants to stand but Marco has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marco bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Harris's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Marco wants to stand but Harris is controlling his posture from full guard.
Harris wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Marco scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Marco trying to control but Harris is working from the bottom.
Marco works over Harris with some ground and pound from guard.

Harris is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Harris looking for a sweep. Not yet Harris, not yet.

Marco won't allow Harris to get back to his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Marco throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Harris tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Marco is in Harris's guard.
Marco is standing up over Harris. Harris looks to escape but Marco dives into side control.

Harris is not content to let Marco control the position.

Harris is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Marco looks up at the clock and then as Harris takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Marco smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Marco wants to stand but Harris is controlling his arm.
Harris tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martino Marco showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Harris throws a series of punches but Marco moves out of range.
Marco circles away from the clinch attempt.
Harris blocks a head kick by Marco.
Marco shoots and misses
letting Harris counter with a right hand.
Harris stuffs the takedown.
Harris seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Harris tries a head kick but it misses.

Marco manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Harris on his heels. He'll look to pass Harris's guard now, I'm sure.
Martino Marco has got the better of the ground game so far.

Marco slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Marco postures up in Harris's guard and throws a big left but Harris blocks it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Harris can't keep his opponent in guard - Marco advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris wants to get back to his feet.
Marco has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Marco is working for a kimura but Harris is defending it quite comfortably.
Marco tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Harris is trying to stand up here but Marco is controlling him well.
Harris trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Marco is trying to control the action in half guard but Harris is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Marco is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Harris is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Marco putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Marco landing strikes from the mount.
Marco looking to control but Harris is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Marco with a couple of short strikes.
Harris tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Marco controlling from the full mount.
Marco is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Marco pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harris keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Harris wants to control but Marco is having none of it.
Marco takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Harris knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marco on the ground.
Harris tries to lock up and control but Marco gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Marcus Harris has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Martino Marco is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I've got Marco winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
