Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Beast (ranked 1144 p4p, 150 weight class) and Jake The Dog (ranked 540 p4p, 82 weight class). The Dog is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Meditation Time. Dave Beast has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Beast!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake The Dog!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast avoids the body shot from The Dog.
Beast half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Jake The Dog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Dog throws a lazy right hand but Beast sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The Dog connects with a body shot that sends Beast's belly button to the back.
The Dog tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Beast was well out of range. Poor timing from The Dog.
A jab lands there for The Dog.


It looks like Dave Beast has been cut.

Beast ducks straight into an uppercut from The Dog and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Beast manages to regain guard straight away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The Dog looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Beast is trying to defend against the ground and pound but The Dog scores with a couple of nice shots.
Beast is looking to control The Dog's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Beast avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The Dog is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Beast counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The Dog is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now The Dog is on top in guard.

The Dog throwing strikes from guard but Beast blocks nicely.
The Dog stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beast swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Beast is pulling down on The Dog's head. It's preventing any offense from The Dog, at least for the moment.
The Dog engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The Dog postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake The Dog dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Dave Beast's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The Dog fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Beast manages to avoid it.

Beast is trying to control. The Dog wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Beast prevents The Dog from improving his position.
The Dog holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Let's hope that The Dog has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beast not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The Dog wants to get back to full guard.
Beast thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed The Dog's head.
The Dog is concentrating on defense, preventing Beast from advancing position.
The Dog has hold of Beast's hands but Beast slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Beast winds up and cracks The Dog with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Beast works his way into full mount!
Beast with shots to the head and body - The Dog looks very uncomfortable down there.
Beast cracks The Dog with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dave Beast!
A very excited looking Dave Beast made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
