Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tooh Kwoma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, DeJuan Carneiro!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwoma misses with a straight left.
Carneiro shoots and misses
and Kwoma counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Carneiro looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Carneiro steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kwoma.
Carneiro slips under a jab.
Carneiro misses with a takedown attempt
and Kwoma connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kwoma throws a head kick but Carneiro moves out of range.
Carneiro takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kwoma throws a hook but Carneiro blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Kwoma counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Kwoma fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carneiro manages to avoid it.
Carneiro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kwoma as he jumps to the side.

Carneiro shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kwoma is trying to defend but Carneiro finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kwoma has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carneiro is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Carneiro seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Carneiro fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kwoma sprawls well initially but Carneiro persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carneiro is on top in guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kwoma holds on and takes a little breather.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carneiro accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kwoma, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
