The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iam misses with a right hand
letting Erikson counter with a right hand.
Erikson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Erikson lands a jab.
Erikson ducks right into an uppercut from Iam.
Iam connects with a jab.
A combination from Iam does no damage.
Erikson blocks a head kick by Iam.
Erikson throws a right and a left that Iam avoids nicely.
Iam misses with a shot to the body

and Erikson counters by moving into the clinch.

Iam escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Erikson lands an overhand right.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big left from Iam misses.
Iam thows a left - swing and a miss!
Iam misses with a straight right.
Iam waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Erikson.

Iam lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice uppercut lands for Erikson. That snapped Iam's head back.
Iam fails to land with a series of punches.
Erikson lands an overhand right.
Matt Iam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Iam throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Erikson misses the jab.
Erikson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Iam throws a leg kick but Erikson checks it.
Iam swings widly with a right hand
and Erikson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Iam is rocked!
Iam throws a lazy body kick

and Erikson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Erikson.
Oh Iam is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Erikson jerks Iam's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Iam drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Erikson goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Erikson because Iam was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
