Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wolfgang Schneeweiss (ranked 3722 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khon Saroth (ranked 24882 p4p, 0 weight class). Khon Saroth will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Wolfgang Schneeweiss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Khon Saroth!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saroth stuffs the takedown attempt from Schneeweiss. Schneeweiss gets slowly back to his feet.
Saroth is looking to clinch but Schneeweiss is avoiding it.

Schneeweiss shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Saroth manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Saroth working for a triangle but Schneeweiss defends it easily.
Schneeweiss is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schneeweiss trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Saroth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schneeweiss. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Saroth looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schneeweiss is one step ahead there.
Schneeweiss seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Schneeweiss throws an elbow that misses. Saroth uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Schneeweiss's guard. Nice move by Saroth!

Schneeweiss wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Saroth wants to stand and escape but instead Schneeweiss has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Schneeweiss stands up from Saroth's guard - Schneeweiss perhaps looking for a knockout.

Schneeweiss takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Saroth tries to score a power double leg takedown but Schneeweiss sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Saroth somewhat.
Schneeweiss shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Saroth but Saroth pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Schneeweiss seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Schneeweiss shoots in and drives through. Saroth sprawls well.

Schneeweiss works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Saroth isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Schneeweiss stacks Saroth on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Schneeweiss!
Schneeweiss works to advance to full mount. Saroth defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

and Schneeweiss counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Saroth is pressed up against the cage. Schneeweiss has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Saroth down to the mat. Saroth avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Saroth throws a right hand that Schneeweiss ducks under and follows up with a left that Schneeweiss also avoids with ease.

Schneeweiss throws a sloppy strike and Saroth uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Saroth has ended up in Schneeweiss's guard.

Schneeweiss is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Saroth with him. Saroth is trying to defend but Schneeweiss has an arm under the chin now! Saroth grimaces and is forced to tap out!
