Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Patrick R Torres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mahmoud Al Mohammed!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Torres. That's going to slow Al Mohammed down.
Al Mohammed closes the distance but Torres moves to the side
and Torres counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Torres, right into the meat.
Torres circles away from the clinch attempt.
Torres throws a head kick that Al Mohammed semi-blocks.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Torres enables Al Mohammed to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Torres manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Al Mohammed is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Torres is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Al Mohammed defends well.

Al Mohammed decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck for Torres with that takedown attempt.

and Al Mohammed counters with a series of strikes. Torres will be more careful next time no doubt.

Al Mohammed drives through with a takedown into Torres's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Al Mohammed stands and steps away. Torres gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Torres moves out of range of the body kick.
Torres's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Torres duly obliges.
Torres is breathing heavily.
Torres throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Al Mohammed's waist but Al Mohammed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Torres off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick R Torres. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Al Mohammed drives through with a takedown into Torres's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Al Mohammed has an Americana. Torres didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Al Mohammed is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Al Mohammed hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
