Alviso's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Pooh Man-Oakland. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerome Alviso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Judas Priest!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Priest ducks under a wild hook from Alviso.
Jerome Alviso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alviso tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alviso shoots in looking for a takedown but Priest manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alviso's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Alviso throws a series of punches but Priest moves out of range.
A nice side step and Priest releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Priest blocks a head kick by Alviso.
A lazy left from Priest finds it's target.
A low kick from Alviso is predictable there

and Priest counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Alviso trying to control from the bottom.
Alviso gets full guard.
Priest landing with the ground and pound.

Alviso is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Priest drops back, looking for a kneebar! Alviso looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Alviso looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Alviso!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Priest's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Priest has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Priest is looking for a sweep.
Alviso lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Priest down.
Priest is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Alviso off and has taken his back!

Priest sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Alviso taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Judas Priest!
A less than humble Judas Priest misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Jerome Alviso was interviewed post fight and said 'My dad and brother are going to kick my ass again when I get home...'.
