Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicky Santoro (ranked 2098 p4p, 260 weight class) and Cory Trevor (ranked 1309 p4p, 167 weight class). Cory Trevor told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santoro takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Trevor looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Santoro moves away from the strike by Trevor.
We've been told by Santoro's head coaches at RWB GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Trevor moves out of range of the strikes.
Trevor scores with a jab to the jaw.
Santoro lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Santoro takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Nicky Santoro has been cut.

Trevor throws a hook but Santoro blocks it.

Trevor tried to score with a low kick but Santoro checks it.
Trevor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Santoro was well out of range. Poor timing from Trevor.

Santoro uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Santoro throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Trevor sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Santoro takes a swing at Trevor's ribcage but misses.

enabling Santoro to counter with a crisp jab.
Trevor connects with a looping right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Trevor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Trevor throws a right and a left that both miss.
Trevor misses with a head kick.
Nice uppercut there from Santoro.
Trevor misses with a double jab
and Santoro counters with a left to the body.
Trevor loads up on a big right hand but Santoro slips the punch.
It looked like Santoro was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Trevor.
Trevor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Santoro manages to avoid it.
Trevor rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Santoro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Decent striking displayed by Santoro there.
Trevor is rocked!
Santoro drops Trevor with a huge uppercut! Trevor drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Santoro is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nicky Santoro!
A relieved looking Nicky Santoro thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
