Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Tantalau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sivile Gonya!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tantalau takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Tantalau displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gonya throws out the jab.
Tantalau is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gonya looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Gonya jabs Tantalau to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Gonya thuds a left hand into Tantalau's body.
Tantalau looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gonya fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tantalau looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gonya leaves Tantalau with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gonya lands a right hook to the body.
Tantalau misses with a right hand
and Gonya counters with a nice uppercut.
Tantalau misses with a looping left.
A little jabbing left from Gonya on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tantalau takes a body punch but keeps moving.
We've been informed that Gonya has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Tantalau on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Tantalau is breathing heavily.
Gonya connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Gonya connects with a crisp jab.

Gonya digs a good hook to Tantalau's body.
Gonya gets in close and tags Tantalau with a short punch that almost sends Tantalau to the mat! Oh Tantalau is in big trouble! He turns his back on Gonya, trying to create some distance but Gonya rushes him, striking wildly and Tantalau goes down! The referee tackles Gonya into the cage to end the fight! Gonya is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sivile Gonya!
During a confident post fight interview, Sivile Gonya thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
