PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kareem Clark (ranked 24769 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bernardo Suarez (ranked 5765 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bernardo Suarez!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clark forces Suarez back against the cage and clinches.
Suarez wants to break the clinch but can't.
A nice right hand lands inside from Clark.

Clark ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Clark no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Suarez being controlled here momentarily.

Clark looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Clark keeping moving, preventing Suarez from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clark is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Suarez is controlling him.
Suarez wants to stand but Clark is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Suarez is looking to work some ground and pound but Clark has wrist control.
Clark can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Suarez controls the pace.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Clark has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Suarez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Clark.
Suarez controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clark is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Suarez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Clark keeps working.
Clark really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Clark is being controlled here.

Suarez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Clark to his feet.
Kareem Clark is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Suarez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Clark is rocked!
Clark gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Suarez points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Clark wakes up just in time to hear Suarez thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
