The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Mcgee does no damage.
Anselmo tries a head kick but it misses.
Anselmo has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Mcgee is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Chinless Mcgee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mcgee takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Mcgee counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Anselmo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Anselmo feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mcgee sprawling to the canvas! Mcgee rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Anselmo finish him?!

Anselmo cracks Mcgee with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Anselmo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mcgee to stand back up!
Mcgee gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Anselmo gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
