Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yankul Petrov (ranked 4569 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iosif Korablin (ranked 5008 p4p, 0 weight class). Iosif Korablin told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korablin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Petrov pinned against the cage. Petrov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Petrov tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Korablin manages to circle out of the way.
Korablin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Petrov changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Korablin looks for a takedown but Petrov sprawls well.

Korablin takes the fight into the clinch.

Petrov is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Korablin can't fight it off and eventually Petrov manages to take the fight to the floor. Korablin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Petrov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Petrov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Petrov throws a strike but Korablin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Petrov will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Korablin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petrov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Petrov is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Korablin frees his head nicely. Oh but Petrov has switched to an armbar! Korablin is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
