Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Bun Chantha (ranked 4474 p4p, 428 weight class) and Leonardo Atunes (ranked 1523 p4p, 184 weight class). Chantha kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is WORDS BOXIN. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chantha fails with an attempt to clinch.
Atunes takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bun Chantha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Atunes just misses with a punch to the body.

Chantha lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Chantha works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Chantha misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Chantha counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

A little feinted left hand from Chantha on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Atunes slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Atunes feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Chanthas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Chantha tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
No joy there for Chantha, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Chantha feints a jab promting Atunes to slip. Chantha then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Atunes slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Atunes gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Chantha.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chantha misses with a hook.

Chantha has taken the fight to the clinch.

Atunes tries to work over Chantha's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Atunes is leaning against Chantha and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Atunes lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Chantha prevents a body shot from Atunes.
Chantha is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.

Chantha wants to clinch up but Atunes keeps it at a distance.

That was a close round but I would say that Bun Chantha will probably get the nod.

Leonardo Atunes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
