The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Timmoy, pushing him back against the cage.
James wants to get back to striking at distance but Timmoy won't allow it.
James wants a takedown but no success here.
James misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Timmoy.
James tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Timmoy smiles and moves away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

James changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Timmoy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
