Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 wins, 1 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of New York, Roy Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 wins, 2 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of New York, Tomos Kemp!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kemp sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Daniels somewhat.
Daniels shoots in but Kemp avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kemp is looking to slow Daniels down with leg kicks.
Kemp lands the left hand.
Daniels keeps the fight on the outside.
Kemp feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Danielss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Kemp clinches up with Daniels and pushes him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kemp content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kemp lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Kemp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Daniels throws an off balance right hand
and Kemp counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Kemp throws a left and a right that both miss

and Daniels counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Daniels.
Daniels throws an elbow that misses. Kemp uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Daniels's guard. Nice move by Kemp!

Kemp told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Kemp stays in close to Daniels's body and controls the position.

Kemp thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kemp trying to control the position from guard on top but Daniels is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kemp is pushing down on Daniels's leg trying to pass to half guard. Daniels is fighting to maintain full guard but Kemp has managed to sneak the leg through.
Well, if Kemp is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kemp is trying to control the action in half guard but Daniels is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Daniels wants to control but Kemp is keeping busy.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Daniels misses with a double jab.
Kemp moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Daniels throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Kemp counters by clinching up.
Daniels is breathing heavily.
Daniels is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kemp gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roy Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kemp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Daniels tries for a takedown but Kemp circles away easily
and Kemp counters with a left to the body.
Roy Daniels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kemp scores with a kick to the body.
Tomos Kemp is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kemp.
No joy there for Kemp, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kemp throws a quick inside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Left hook, right uppercut from Kemp.
Daniels looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Daniels tries for a takedown but Kemp circles away easily
and Kemp cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kemp jabs Daniels right on the nose. Daniels blinks but takes it well.
Daniels with a lazy takedown attempt
and Kemp cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Daniels gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kemp.

Daniels is rocked!
Kemp plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Daniels to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Daniels just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tomos Kemp!
