Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Desmond Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damir Stojnic!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis shoots in but Stojnic avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Stojnic looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Stojnic fails with the takedown.
Lewis goes for a double leg but Stojnic avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stojnic continues to drive forward.
Lewis dives in for a single leg takedown but Stojnic sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Stojnic looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Stojnic shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lewis sprawls well. Lewis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stojnic gets slowly back to his feet.
Lewis tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Stojnic manages to circle out of the way.

Lewis gets control of Stojnic's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lewis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lewis is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Lewis has his foot on Stojnic's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stojnic works his way back into a safe position though.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Lewis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stojnic as he jumps to the side.
Stojnic wants to counter with a clinch but Lewis pushes him away.
Lewis throws a body shot but no joy.
Stojnic stuffs the takedown attempt from Lewis. Lewis gets slowly back to his feet.
Lewis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stojnic swivels and escapes.

Lewis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lewis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lewis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stojnic for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stojnic dodges the ground and pound from Lewis.

Lewis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stojnic is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lewis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
You can see the frustration on Stojnic's face as Lewis controls the position.
Stojnic is looking to regain half guard here but Lewis keeps moving and retains side control.

Well Lewis has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
