The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Simmons sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Simmons really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Diaz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Simmons's guard.

Simmons jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown but Simmons manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Diaz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Simmons throws a counter high kick but Diaz was just alert enough to avoid it.

Diaz is trying to push Simmons away but Simmons has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Simmons's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Luis Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Simmons throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Diaz's waist but Diaz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Simmons off to one side.
Simmons goes for a double leg but Diaz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Diaz continues to drive forward.
