Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Cross (ranked 7335 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiago Martins (ranked 5060 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Martins decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Martins missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Martins tries to stand and escape but Cross is controlling the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Martins in particular looking to stall.
Martins tries to pass to full mount but Cross defends it.
Martins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cross. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Martins throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Cross decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Martins, up you get!
Martins fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cross to the ground. Martins is now in Cross's guard.
Cross pushes Martins off and scrambles back to his feet.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Cross enables Martins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cross manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Martins looks winded!

Cross wants to stand but Martins is controlling the position.
Cross wants to sweep here but Martins controlling him for the moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Martins is trying to trip Cross. He has hold of a leg but Cross is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Martins persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Martins gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Cross sneaks out the side door and pushes Martins away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Martins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cross swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cross is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Martins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Martins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Cross ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cross no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Martins passes Cross's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Martins not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Martins stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Cross to get to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight!
Tiago Martins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Martins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
