Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fabian Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dustin Laux!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong looks to land a combination but Laux avoids it well.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Laux.
Armstrong throws Laux to one side and escapes!
Armstrong throws a looping overhand right but Laux ducks down to avoid it.
Laux throws a head kick but Armstrong moves out of range.
Laux closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Armstrong's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Armstrong has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Laux has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Laux breaks from the clinch.
Laux drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Armstrong is not content to let Laux control the position.
Armstrong struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Laux is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Armstrong is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Armstrong is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Laux off and has taken his back!
Laux tries to roll but Armstrong sticks to his back.
Armstrong has his arm under Laux's chin here. Game over son! Armstrong squeezes tightly and Laux is forced to tap out!
