The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holt has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mcknight tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Holt smiles and moves away.

Holt closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mcknight is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcknight is trying to control Holt's posture but Holt avoids it.
Holt throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Holt decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mcknight to his feet.
Holt shoots in looking for a takedown. Mcknight tries to sprawl out of it but Holt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mcknight manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Holt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Mcknight is looking for a triangle but Holt pushes his legs off easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Holt connects with a nice short shot to Mcknight's temple.

Holt takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Holt is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Mcknight is hurt! He's hurt bad - Holt fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Mcknight from any more punishment! Congratulations to Holt! Great finish!
