The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zimmerman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ibbot but Ibbot pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ibbot looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

and Zimmerman counters with a single leg into guard. Ibbot didn't expect that.
Ibbot wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Zimmerman manages to pass to side control.

Zimmerman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zimmerman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ibbot 's head.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ibbot looks to land a combination but Zimmerman avoids it well.
Zimmerman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ibbot as he avoids it easily.
Ibbot follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

and Zimmerman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ibbot is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Zimmerman dives into side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Horrible takedown attempt by Zimmerman or perhaps it was just good defense by Ibbot , which made it look bad.

Zimmerman shoots in looking for a takedown. Ibbot tries to sprawl out of it but Zimmerman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ibbot manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Zimmerman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Zimmerman has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Ibbot has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Tank Ibbot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I would just about give that final round to Tank Ibbot .
