The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Chaelsson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chaelsson.

We've been hearing reports that Chaelsson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Addams looks for the body kick but Chaelsson saw that one coming.

Chaelsson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Addams is looking to regain half guard here but Chaelsson keeps moving and retains side control.
Addams is working to avoid the ground and pound but Chaelsson connects with a decent elbow.

Addams tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chaelsson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Chaelsson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lurch Addams's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lurch Addams's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
