The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
May takes a shot right to the bread basket.

May's coach down at Fisticuffs was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on May's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
May throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
May feints a jab promting Odongkara to slip. May then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Odongkara slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Odongkara lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Odongkara circles away from the clinch attempt.
Odongkara tests May's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Odongkara lands a nice leg kick that just misses May's sensitive parts.
Odongkara pulls out of a head kick attempt.
May takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A low kick from Odongkara misses
and May counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Odongkara explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Odongkara fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with May, pushing him back against the ropes.
I was talking to Odongkara's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
May is trying to force a seperation but Odongkara has the dominant position.
May wants to break free but Odongkara has control.

May is trying to push Odongkara away but Odongkara has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Odongkara tried to land a shot to the body but connects with May's elbow.

May tries to circle away but Odongkara has him pinned against the ropes.
