Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Cahill (ranked 2143 p4p, 258 weight class) and Hank Vaughn (ranked 2892 p4p, 320 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Cahill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hank Vaughn!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ron Honeybunn and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cahill moves into range and clinches up with Vaughn.
Vaughn softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Cahill wants a takedown.
Cahill lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Vaughn.
Vaughn lands a body punch in the clinch.
Vaughn prevents a body shot from Cahill.
Vaughn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cahill avoids it.
Cahill lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Vaughn backwards.

Vaughn tries to land knees in the clinch but Cahill avoids the damage to the body.

Cahill has clasped his hands together around Vaughn's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

We've been hearing good reports from Cahill's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cahill thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Cahill tries to score with some ground and pound. Vaughn controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Cahill is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vaughn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Cahill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vaughn is not content to let Cahill control the position.

Cahill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vaughn swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Vaughn has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Cahill seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Vaughn can turn it around.

Oh Cahill is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Vaughn has Cahill pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Cahill is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Vaughn - that's hurt Cahill badly! Oh, another knee lands and Cahill is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Cahill doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Hank Vaughn!
During a confident post fight interview, Hank Vaughn thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
