Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matvey Pavlov (ranked 1067 p4p, 57 weight class) and Ezekiel Ithamar (ranked 1258 p4p, 67 weight class). Pavlov comes to the ring accompanied by Prokofiev - Dance of the Knights. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

21 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ezekiel Ithamar!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ithamar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pavlov as he avoids it easily.
Ithamar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pavlov but Pavlov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Pavlov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ithamar avoids it really well and circles away.
And Ithamar tries to counter it with a takedown but Pavlov pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Pavlov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pavlov wants it to stay on the feet.
Matvey Pavlov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ezekiel Ithamar.

Horrible takedown attempt by Pavlov or perhaps it was just good defense by Ithamar, which made it look bad.

Ithamar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pavlov on his heels. He'll look to pass Pavlov's guard now, I'm sure.
Pavlov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've been hearing good reports from Pavlov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Pavlov has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ithamar is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Pavlov yanks on the arm and Ithamar is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Pavlov.
