Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Edmonds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David Ngoss!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Edmonds fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ngoss to the ground. Edmonds is now in Ngoss's guard.

Ngoss has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Edmonds can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ngoss wants to improve his position but instead Edmonds has moved into half guard.
Ngoss is looking to improve his position.
Ngoss wants to control but Edmonds is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Edmonds is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ngoss sees it coming and defends easily.
Ngoss trying to hold on to Edmonds's head to control him but Edmonds postures up.
Ngoss looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ngoss is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ngoss pushes Edmonds off looking to stand but Edmonds dives back in and keeps control.
Ngoss tries to roll over but Edmonds keeps him under control.

Edmonds is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ngoss is just riding it out for now. Edmonds eventually gives up the hold.

Edmonds is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ngoss looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Edmonds is looking for a kimura but Ngoss is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Edmonds to get the leverage.
Edmonds uses his free foot to push down on Ngoss's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ngoss.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ngoss is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Edmonds looking to isolate an arm here. Ngoss doesn't see it coming and as Edmonds extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Edmonds!
