The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Penn wants it to stay on the feet.
Penn has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as mn is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Penn is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
mn sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Penn drops mn with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but mn looks back up at him and smiles so Penn waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Mosi mn has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Penn is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches mn flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! mn is out cold! Penn holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luke Penn!
Luke Penn decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
