The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crane lands with a thumping leg kick.
Gomez dives in for a single leg takedown but Crane sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Gomez doesn't manage to clinch there - Crane circles away.
Crane connects with a leg kick. Gomez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gomez takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Gomez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Ichabod Crane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luis Gomez.
Gomez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Crane swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Crane.
Gomez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gomez is not content to let Crane control the position.
Crane works to advance to full mount. Gomez defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Crane lands a heavy elbow.
